Indian Army's Litigation Wing Invites Applications for 26 Military Law Research Associate Posts

In an exciting opportunity for legal professionals seeking exposure to military and service law, the Litigation Wing of the Indian Army is inviting applications for the post of Military Law Research Associates. This contractual engagement offers a unique chance to work closely with the Indian Army on service and administrative law matters across India.

Vacancy Details

A total of 26 positions are available at the following locations:

New Delhi – 11

Chandigarh – 4

Lucknow – 4

Chennai, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Kochi, Mumbai – 1 each

Essential Qualifications

A law degree with at least 55% aggregate marks from a Bar Council of India-recognized institution.

Minimum two years’ experience as an Advocate, Legal Assistant, or Research Associate in courts, government offices, reputed law firms, or under a senior advocate.

Must have cleared the All India Bar Examination (AIBE).

Desirable Qualifications

Postgraduate degree in law.

Strong research, analytical, and drafting skills, with proficiency in legal databases like SCC Online, Manupatra, LexisNexis, etc.

Proficiency in computer operations and common software such as MS Office.

Disqualifications

Currently engaged or appointed elsewhere on an honorarium or paid basis.

Involvement in any criminal case, ongoing investigation, or named in an FIR.

Facing disciplinary action before any Bar Council or regulatory authority.

Remuneration

Selected candidates will receive a fixed remuneration of ₹50,000 per month. No TA/DA, accommodation, or additional allowances will be provided.
